The NORTON 66261138120 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc engineered for aggressive material removal and surface finishing on metal workpieces. Part of the Gemini R766/R228 series, it uses aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a flexible, X/Y-weight 2-ply cloth and polyester backing. At 60 grit (medium grade), it delivers controlled cutting action suited to deburring, cleaning, and detailing operations. The disc mounts via a Speed-Lok TS (Type II / Type S) attachment system and is rated to 30,000 RPM, making it appropriate for handheld disc sanders used in fabrication and finishing shops.
This disc is designed for use on a wide range of metal substrates including 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and titanium. Typical applications include weld seam blending, edge deburring, surface prep before coating or inspection, and general cleaning of soft and hard metals. It is sized at 1.5 inches in diameter, making it well suited to tight-access areas and detail work that larger discs cannot reach. Professional metal fabricators, maintenance welders, and sheet metal workers are the primary users.
Designed for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Speed-Lok TS (Type II) or Type S quick-change attachment system. Compatible material applications include 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and titanium.
Installation is performed by metal fabricators and finishing technicians using handheld disc sanders. Before mounting or removing the disc, power down and disconnect the tool from its power source. Align the disc button with the tool's Speed-Lok TS receiver and seat firmly before operation. Do not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum speed rating, and always wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating abrasive discs.
