The NORTON 66261132189 is a straight cartridge roll designed for precision deburring, blending, and surface finishing in tight bores, slots, and contoured areas. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive on an X-weighted cloth backing, this roll delivers consistent cut rate and durability under load. At 3/8 inch diameter and 1.5 inches in length, it fits standard mandrel-driven rotary tools and die grinders used by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians. The 1/8 inch pilot hole accepts common mandrel shanks. Rated to 23,000 RPM, it handles high-speed finishing applications without compromising abrasive integrity.
Straight cartridge rolls in the 80 grit range are used for intermediate stock removal and surface preparation on metal workpieces, including weld seam blending, bore refinishing, and port work. The 3/8 inch diameter is suited for reaching into narrow internal cavities and small-diameter bores where larger abrasive tools cannot fit. Typical applications include aerospace, automotive, metal fabrication, and general machine shop work where controlled, repeatable surface finish is required.
Designed for use with standard straight cartridge roll mandrels accepting a 1/8 inch pilot hole, compatible with die grinders and rotary tools that support mandrel-mounted abrasive accessories.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or fabricators using a compatible mandrel and rotary tool or die grinder. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from any air or electrical supply before mounting or removing the cartridge roll. Do not exceed the 23,000 RPM maximum speed rating. Inspect the roll for damage or wear before each use and replace if the abrasive layer shows uneven wear or the backing shows signs of delamination.
