The NORTON 66261131630 is a general-purpose abrasive sanding sheet designed for material removal and surface finishing across a wide range of substrates. Part of the A275OP series, it features an open-coat aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a B-weight paper backing. The open-coat construction reduces loading and clogging, making it well suited for softer materials and surfaces that generate fine dust or swarf. At P180 grit, these sheets fall in the fine abrasive range, appropriate for intermediate to final sanding passes where a smooth surface profile is needed before priming, coating, or finishing. Each sheet measures 9 inches wide by 11 inches long, the standard hand-sheet size compatible with most manual and block-sanding applications. Sold in a 100-sheet pack.
These sheets are used in automotive refinishing, woodworking, fiberglass repair, composite fabrication, and general metal prep. Suitable substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel. The A275OP series is a general-purpose line commonly stocked in body shops, cabinet shops, marine service facilities, and general fabrication environments. The 9 inch by 11 inch format can be cut or folded to fit hand blocks, detail sanders, or used full-sheet for flat surface work.
Compatible with paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel surfaces. Designed for use as a standard hand-sheet abrasive across automotive, woodworking, marine, and general fabrication applications.
These sheets are installed by hand or fitted to a sanding block and require no tools or fasteners. When cutting sheets to size, use a straightedge and a sharp blade to avoid tearing the backing. Work in a well-ventilated area and use appropriate respiratory protection when sanding composites, fiberglass, or carbon steel. Dispose of spent abrasive sheets in accordance with local regulations, particularly when sanding lead-based paint or hazardous coatings.
