The NORTON 66261131480 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive sanding disc roll from the A275OP series, designed for general-purpose material removal and surface prep across a wide range of substrates. Each roll contains 100 discs, 6 inches in diameter, coated with aluminum oxide abrasive on a B-weight paper backing. Aluminum oxide is a hard, sharp abrasive that cuts aggressively, withstands heat buildup, and holds up at higher operating speeds. The open-coat construction covers approximately 50 percent of the disc surface, leaving room between abrasive grains to channel away swarf and reduce loading. This keeps the workpiece cooler and extends disc life between changes. These discs are used by finishing technicians, auto body professionals, and fabricators working on painted, composite, and metal surfaces.
The 66261131480 is suited for medium-stock removal and surface conditioning tasks in automotive, marine, composite, and general fabrication environments. At P100 grit, these discs are appropriate for leveling primer, scuffing gelcoat, abrading fiberglass layups, and preparing carbon steel surfaces before coating. The PSA backing mounts directly to foam or rubber backup pads with a matching adhesive interface, making disc swaps fast on orbital and random-orbit sanders. The non-vacuum design is intended for use with solid backup pads where dust extraction is handled separately or not required.
Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel. Designed for use with 6-inch solid PSA backup pads on random-orbit and orbital sanders that accept pressure-sensitive adhesive discs.
These discs are installed by pressing the adhesive face firmly onto a clean, dry 6-inch PSA backup pad. Ensure the backup pad surface is free of old adhesive residue before mounting a fresh disc to maintain full contact and prevent edge lifting. Operate the sander within the speed rating of the disc and backup pad combination. Discard any disc showing tears, delamination, or visible abrasive loss before continuing use.
