The NORTON 66261121048 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring on a wide range of materials. Built on a heavy Y-weight polyester backing, this 2-inch disc operates at up to 30,000 RPM and mounts via the Speed-Lok TR (Type III) / Type R attaching system. The zirconia alumina abrasive grain runs at 60 grit, placing it in the medium-to-coarse range suited for fast material removal without frequent disc changes. A self-lubricating treatment helps reduce heat buildup during extended grinding sessions, extending disc life and protecting workpiece surfaces.
This disc is rated for use on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, fiberglass and composites, and hard and soft woods. It is part of the R860 series and is intended for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Speed-Lok TR or Type R quick-change arbor. The rigid, non-trimmable construction keeps the disc geometry consistent through the full working life of the abrasive. Typical applications include fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and metal finishing work where fast setup and repeatable results matter.

Verify the tool spindle uses a compatible Type R or TR quick-change arbor before mounting. Confirm the tool is rated to handle at least 30,000 RPM and power down the tool before changing discs. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage prior to each use and do not exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the disc. Follow applicable ANSI B7.1 and OSHA grinding safety requirements for abrasive wheel use.
