The NORTON 66261121035 is a 3-inch quick-change abrasive disc from the Gemini R228 series, designed for use with Speed-Lok TR (Type III) attachment systems on handheld disc sanders. The disc features aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to an X-weight, 2-ply cloth backing, delivering a fine to medium 100-grit cut across a range of metals. At a rated maximum of 20,000 RPM, it is built for consistent stock removal and surface finishing tasks. Licensed trade professionals and fabricators working with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel rely on this disc for deburring, cleaning, and detailing operations where disc swaps need to be fast and the abrasive surface needs to hold up under sustained use.
This disc is suited for both light fabrication and finish work in shop and field environments. It performs on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, and titanium. The flexible cloth backing conforms slightly to contoured surfaces, making it practical for cleaning welds, removing burrs, and light surface prep. It is intended for use with handheld disc sanders that accept Type R or TR quick-change attachment hardware.

Installation is performed by pressing the disc onto a compatible Type R or TR quick-change mandrel until it seats and locks. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 20,000 RPM disc rating before operation. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use discs that are torn, delaminated, or out of round. Eye protection and appropriate PPE should be worn during use, consistent with applicable ANSI and OSHA safety standards.
