The NORTON 66261121028 is a 2-inch quick-change abrasive disc from the Gemini R228 series, designed for use with Speed-Lok TR (Type III) attachment systems on handheld disc sanders. Built on an X-weight, 2-ply cloth and polyester backing, it delivers a flexible, durable cutting surface rated to 30,000 RPM. The 240-grit aluminum oxide abrasive falls in the very fine grade range, making it suited for fine deburring, surface cleaning, and detailing work on stainless steel, soft metals, and other common fabrication materials. Technicians and fabricators working with tight tolerances or finish-sensitive surfaces will find this disc a practical consumable for controlled stock removal.
This disc is intended for use on handheld disc sanders equipped with a Type R or TR quick-change attaching system. Typical applications include deburring, cleaning, and light detailing on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, and titanium. The flexible backing conforms to slightly contoured surfaces, making it useful in both flat and mild radius finishing scenarios in metal fabrication, maintenance, and repair environments. This disc is sold individually but requires a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed for use with Type R and TR (Type III) quick-change disc Sanders. Compatible material applications include 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and titanium.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the sander powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify that the backing pad hub is clean and fully seated before attaching the disc. Always confirm the tool RPM rating does not exceed the disc maximum of 30,000 RPM before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection when grinding or finishing metal surfaces.
