At 80 grit, it falls in the medium-to-coarse range, making it well suited for deburring, weld prep, surface cleaning, and light stock removal. A two-ply cotton backing construction supports repeated passes on hard and soft metals without premature breakdown. This disc is designed for use on a broad range of metals in both shop and field environments. Rated materials include 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and titanium.
