The NORTON 662611-38453 is a zirconia alumina fiber disc from the NorZon F826 product line, designed for aggressive material removal on metal, stainless steel, and other hard surfaces. At 4-1/2 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole and a 60-grit abrasive, this disc delivers a balance of cut rate and surface finish suited to weld blending, deburring, and surface conditioning tasks. It is sold in packs of 25 and installed on angle grinders or disc grinders used by fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and general metal tradespeople.
This fiber disc is intended for use in metal fabrication shops, structural steel work, and field welding applications where consistent stock removal is required. The 60-grit designation places it in the medium-coarse range, making it effective for removing mill scale, rust, and light surface defects before finishing operations. It fits standard 4-1/2-inch angle grinders commonly found on industrial and commercial job sites.
Designed for use with standard 4-1/2-inch angle grinders and disc grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor. Suitable for grinding ferrous metals, stainless steel, and similar hard materials.
Fiber discs must be mounted on a compatible backing pad rated for the grinder speed before use. Always verify that the grinder RPM rating does not exceed the disc RPM rating before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace immediately if cracking, fraying, or delamination is observed.
