The NORTON 662611-31697 is an aluminum oxide PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) abrasive paper roll designed for surface preparation and material removal in trade and industrial applications. The A275 paper backing provides a stable, consistent substrate for the aluminum oxide abrasive grain. At P80B grit, this roll is suited for aggressive stock removal, rough sanding, and leveling operations on wood, metal, and composite surfaces. The roll measures 4.5 inches wide by 10 yards long, giving technicians and tradespeople a generous supply of abrasive material that can be cut to length as needed for sanders, blocks, or custom fixtures.
This PSA roll is well suited for finishing shops, fabrication facilities, woodworking operations, and general trade use where consistent abrasive performance is required. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows the material to be cut and applied directly to flat or curved backing plates without the need for additional adhesives. P80B grit is a common choice for initial surface prep, weld blending, rust removal, and paint stripping across both residential and light commercial work environments. The roll format reduces waste compared to pre-cut sheets when working on varied job sizes.
Designed as a general-purpose PSA abrasive roll compatible with flat backing plates, sanding blocks, and fixtures that accept 4.5-inch wide pressure-sensitive adhesive abrasive material.
Cut the roll to the required length using a straightedge and utility knife before peeling the adhesive liner. Ensure the backing plate or sanding surface is clean and dry before applying the PSA backing to promote full adhesion. Worn or loaded abrasive material should be removed completely before applying a fresh section. Follow shop safety guidelines including the use of appropriate respiratory protection when sanding materials that generate fine dust.
