The NORTON 662611-31634 is a full-size abrasive sheet designed for demanding surface preparation and finishing work. Built on the A275 Adalox paper backing with an open-coat construction, this sheet uses a No-Fil stearate coating to resist loading and extend usable life when working with soft metals, wood, primer, and body filler. At P80B grit, it sits in the coarse-to-medium range, making it well-suited for aggressive material removal, leveling, and prep work before finer finishing passes. Each sheet measures 9 inches x 11 inches, a standard hand-sheet size compatible with most manual sanding blocks and sheet-fed orbital tools. Sold in bulk quantities of 250 sheets per order.
These sheets are used across automotive body shops, metal fabrication facilities, woodworking operations, and general industrial finishing environments. The open-coat layout keeps the abrasive surface clear under heavy cutting loads, reducing the frequency of sheet changes. P80B grit is a common starting point for feathering paint edges, removing rust scale, smoothing rough lumber, and prepping substrate surfaces ahead of primer application. Suitable for both hand sanding and machine-assisted applications where standard 9 x 11 inch sheets are accepted.
Designed as a standard 9 inches x 11 inches full sheet suitable for hand sanding blocks and orbital or reciprocating sanders that accept cut sheet stock in that format.
Secure the sheet firmly to the sanding block or tool platen before use to prevent slippage during operation. When sanding painted or primed surfaces, ensure adequate ventilation and use appropriate respiratory protection per OSHA and local safety requirements. Inspect sheets regularly for loading or wear and replace before performance degrades, as a worn sheet increases surface heat and reduces cut quality.
