The NORTON 662611-31631 is a coated abrasive sheet designed for sanding and surface preparation tasks across a wide range of trade and industrial applications. Built on a B-weight anti-loading paper backing, this sheet uses aluminum oxide as its abrasive mineral, delivering consistent cut and durability through repeated strokes. The P150B grit rating places it in the fine grade range, making it well suited for intermediate to finish sanding passes where surface smoothness matters. Measuring 9 inches by 11 inches, the sheet fits standard hand-sanding blocks and many orbital and reciprocating sheet sanders common in finishing work.
This abrasive sheet is commonly used by finish carpenters, painters, body technicians, and general contractors for wood, metal, and composite surface preparation. The No-Fil Adalox formulation with anti-loading backing resists clogging from wood resins, paint residue, and fine dust, extending usable sheet life compared to standard coated paper. It is packaged in 100-sheet packs and sold in cases of 5 packs, making it practical for job-site stocking or shop inventory replenishment.
Designed as a general-purpose coated abrasive sheet for use with standard 9-inch by 11-inch hand-sanding blocks and sheet-pad sanders that accept full-size abrasive sheets.
Abrasive sheets should be loaded onto sanding blocks or tool pads with the abrasive face oriented away from the backing surface. Inspect sheets before use and discard any with visible tears, delamination, or worn abrasive areas that could cause uneven finish results. When sanding in enclosed spaces, use appropriate respiratory protection per OSHA dust-exposure guidelines. Store unused sheets flat in a dry environment to prevent curl or moisture absorption that can affect cutting performance.
