The NORTON 662611-31599 is a 6-inch Speed-Grip vacuum-hole paper abrasive disc designed for random orbital and disc sanders used in surface preparation and finishing work. The A275 backing and P100B grit designation make this disc well suited for intermediate sanding stages where material removal and surface refinement must be balanced. Discs ship in quantities of 100, supporting high-volume shop use. The Speed-Grip attachment system provides quick disc changes without adhesive mess, keeping production lines and service bays moving efficiently. Licensed tradespeople and finishing technicians in automotive, woodworking, and general fabrication shops rely on this disc for consistent, repeatable stock removal across a range of substrates.
This disc is intended for use with 6-inch random orbital sanders equipped with a 6-hole vacuum extraction plate. The P100B grit level is appropriate for sanding between coats, blending edges, and removing light scratches or surface imperfections ahead of finish coats. The vacuum port pattern supports dust extraction, reducing airborne particulate at the work surface and improving visibility during operation. This makes the disc a practical choice in both production shop environments and field finishing applications where dust control is a priority.
Designed for use with 6-inch random orbital sanders equipped with a 6-hole vacuum extraction backing plate and a Speed-Grip or hook-compatible pad surface.
Disc installation and replacement should be performed with the sander powered off and unplugged or the battery pack removed. Align the disc holes with the sander pad vacuum ports before pressing the disc firmly into place. Inspect the backing pad for wear before mounting a new disc, as a damaged pad surface reduces disc adhesion and shortens disc life. Discs should be stored flat in a dry environment to prevent curl or delamination of the abrasive layer.
