The NORTON 662611-31587 is a Speed-Grip hook-and-loop paper abrasive disc designed for random orbital and disc sanders used in surface preparation and finishing applications. Built on the A275 backing, this disc features a P800B ultra-fine grit that delivers consistent, swirl-free scratch patterns suitable for finish sanding, sealer scuffing, and between-coat finishing. The 6-inch diameter with a 6-hole vacuum pattern supports efficient dust extraction, keeping the work surface clear and extending disc life. These discs are sold in bulk quantities and are well suited for high-volume production environments where consistent surface quality is required across multiple passes.
This disc is intended for use on wood, painted surfaces, primer, and sealers in automotive refinishing, woodworking shops, and cabinet manufacturing environments. The P800B grit classification places this disc in the ultra-fine finishing range, making it appropriate for final-stage sanding before topcoat application. The 6-hole vacuum configuration is compatible with standard 6-inch random orbital sanders equipped with vacuum dust collection ports. Installers and finishing technicians working in production or collision repair shops will find the 100-disc pack format practical for day-to-day throughput demands.
Designed for use with 6-inch random orbital sanders equipped with hook-and-loop pad faces and a 6-hole vacuum dust collection pattern.
Disc replacement should be performed with the sander powered off and unplugged or with the battery removed. Align the vacuum holes on the disc with the corresponding ports on the sander pad before pressing the Speed-Grip backing firmly into place. Inspect the sander pad face for wear or contamination before attaching a new disc, as a damaged pad face can cause uneven cut and premature disc failure. Dispose of worn discs in accordance with local shop waste guidelines.
