The NORTON 662611-01560 is a full-sheet garnet abrasive paper designed for hand sanding and block sanding applications across wood, paint, and similar surfaces. Finished with an open-coat construction, the abrasive grains are spaced to reduce loading and extend sheet life when working softer or resinous materials. Each sheet measures 9 inches by 11 inches and carries a 60C grit designation, placing it in the coarse range for aggressive material removal and surface prep. These sheets are suited for use by finish carpenters, cabinet makers, painters, and general contractors who need a reliable, conventional abrasive for flat-surface work.
These garnet abrasive sheets are compatible with the A511, A513, and A514 paper backing series from NORTON. The 9-by-11-inch format fits standard sanding blocks and can be hand-torn to size for detail work. The 60C coarse grit is well suited for initial stock removal, leveling rough lumber, stripping old finishes, and preparing surfaces before moving to finer grits. This product is sold in bulk quantities and is appropriate for shop use, production environments, and job-site finishing work where high sheet volume is needed.
Compatible with NORTON A511, A513, and A514 garnet paper backing series. Designed as a standard full-sheet abrasive for use with sanding blocks and manual hand-sanding applications on wood and painted surfaces.
These sheets are intended for hand sanding or block sanding and require no tools beyond a sanding block or backing pad. Tear or cut sheets to size as needed for detail work. When working with fine wood finishes or painted surfaces, always work in a well-ventilated area and use appropriate dust collection or respiratory protection. Progress through grit sequences systematically and avoid skipping grits to achieve the intended final surface quality.
