The NORTON 66261094948 is a hook and loop abrasive disc designed for surface finishing and prep work on a variety of substrates. This 4.5-inch disc uses silicon carbide abrasive in a non-woven construction, delivering a super fine 320-grit cut that removes light scratches, blends surfaces, and preps metal or composite materials for final finishing. The flexible, non-woven structure conforms to contoured surfaces and reduces the risk of gouging. Rated to 13,000 RPM, it is suited for use on angle grinders and random orbital tools with compatible hook and loop backing pads. Installation and change-out are tool-free thanks to the hook and loop attachment system.
This disc is used in metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork finishing, plumbing rough-in cleanup, and general trade surface prep where a fine, consistent scratch pattern is needed before coating or inspection. The non-woven construction provides a more uniform finish than coated abrasives at comparable grit levels. Typical applications include deburring pipe ends, blending weld seams, and prepping metal surfaces for primer or paint. The gray silicon carbide disc is appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as plastics and composites. No vacuum holes are included, making it compatible with standard solid backing pads.
Designed for use with 4.5-inch hook and loop backing pads on angle grinders and random orbital sanders. No vacuum holes included; compatible with solid backing pads only.
Ensure the backing pad and spindle are rated to at least 13,000 RPM before mounting this disc. Power down and unplug or lock out the tool before attaching or removing the disc. Press the disc firmly against the hook and loop backing pad to ensure full engagement before operating. Inspect the disc for tears or delamination before each use and discard if damaged.
