The NORTON 66261058854 is a silicon carbide unitized deburring wheel designed for light material removal, surface blending, and edge finishing on metal and other hard surfaces. The wheel measures 3 inches in diameter with a 1/4-inch face width and a 1/4-inch center hole. It carries a very fine abrasive grade with a medium density construction, making it well-suited for controlled deburring passes without aggressive stock removal. Rated to 18,000 RPM, it handles the speeds typical of die grinders, straight grinders, and similar rotary tools. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers and users of this wheel.
This wheel fits a wide range of grinding and finishing applications in metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments. The unitized construction holds abrasive fibers throughout the wheel body, so performance remains consistent as the wheel wears down. Compatible tooling includes bench grinders, die grinders, flexible shaft grinders, inline grinders, pedestal grinders, pencil grinders, and straight grinders. The very fine silicon carbide abrasive is appropriate for finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as some plastics and composites where light edge work is needed.
Compatible with bench grinders, die grinders, flexible shaft grinders, inline grinders, pedestal grinders, pencil grinders, and straight grinders that accept a 1/4-inch center hole arbor or mandrel and operate at or below 18,000 RPM.
This wheel is installed by machinists or fabricators familiar with abrasive wheel safety practices. Before mounting, verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 18,000 RPM rating marked on the wheel. Power down and disconnect or de-energize the tool completely before mounting or removing the wheel. Follow ANSI B7.1 abrasive wheel safety standards for inspection, mounting, and guarding, and always wear appropriate eye and face protection during use.
