The NORTON 66261055266 is a convolute deburring wheel designed for edge finishing, burr removal, and surface blending on metal workpieces. Built with a silicon carbide abrasive in a hard density grade 8 construction, it delivers consistent, uniform cutting action throughout the wheel's life as the abrasive material regenerates with use. Rated to a maximum of 2,500 RPM, it is suited for controlled, low-to-mid speed deburring operations. The 12-inch diameter and 2-inch face width accommodate a broad working surface, making it efficient for production shop environments and maintenance applications alike. Metal fabricators, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance machinists are the primary installers and users of this type of wheel.
This convolute wheel is intended for use on bench grinders and pedestal grinders in metal finishing operations. Typical applications include removing sharp edges and burrs from stamped, cast, or machined parts, as well as light surface blending prior to coating or inspection. The 5-inch center hole size fits standard arbors found on industrial bench and pedestal grinder units. It is appropriate for both production environments and job-shop maintenance settings where consistent edge quality is required on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Designed for use with bench grinders and pedestal grinders equipped with a 5-inch arbor hole and operating at or below 2,500 RPM.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician. Always power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing any abrasive wheel. Inspect the wheel visually for cracks or damage before installation and perform a ring test where applicable per ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Never exceed the maximum RPM stamped or labeled on the wheel, and ensure the machine spindle speed does not surpass the wheel rating before operating.
