The NORTON 66261055020 is a 4-inch hook-and-loop abrasive disc designed for fine surface finishing and prep work. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive on a flexible, non-woven substrate, it delivers consistent scratch patterns and light material removal at 320 grit extra fine grade. The hook-and-loop backing allows fast disc changes on compatible random orbital and disc sanders without tools. This disc is suited for finishing metal, wood, composites, and painted surfaces where swirl control and surface uniformity are priorities. Trades that rely on it include auto body technicians, finish carpenters, HVAC fabricators, and industrial maintenance crews doing surface prep before coating or assembly.
This disc fits standard 4-inch hook-and-loop backing pads on random orbital sanders, right-angle grinders with pad attachments, and portable disc sanders. At 320 grit extra fine, it is appropriate for final scuff sanding between finish coats, light deburring, and surface conditioning on metal or painted panels. The flexible non-woven construction conforms to slightly contoured surfaces, making it useful in tight or irregular areas where rigid abrasive discs lose contact. No vacuum holes are present, so it is not intended for dust-port sanders requiring hole-pattern alignment.
Designed for use with 4-inch hook-and-loop backing pads on random orbital sanders and right-angle disc grinders. No vacuum hole pattern is present, so this disc is not compatible with hole-aligned dust-extraction backing pads.
Secure the disc firmly to the backing pad before operation to prevent separation under load. Inspect the hook-and-loop fastening surface on both the disc and the pad before each use — worn hooks reduce holding force and can cause the disc to release during operation. Power down and disconnect the tool before mounting or removing discs. Follow applicable ANSI abrasive product safety standards and wear appropriate eye and respiratory protection during use.
