The NORTON 66261014883 is a unitized deburring wheel designed for light deburring, blending, and finishing operations on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a fine grade, it cuts quickly on non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and hardened steel. The wheel measures 1 inch in diameter with a 1-inch face width and accepts a 3/16-inch center arbor. At a density rating of 2, the wheel is relatively open and conformable, making it well-suited for edge work and contoured surfaces. Rated to 18,000 RPM, it is compatible with die grinders and similar high-speed rotary tools used in production and maintenance settings.
This deburring wheel is used in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and light manufacturing environments where small-scale edge deburring and surface blending are required. Its compact 1-inch diameter makes it practical for detail work, tight clearances, and workpieces that cannot accommodate larger abrasive wheels. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and general maintenance technicians are the typical users. The silicon carbide grain is particularly effective on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper, as well as on non-metallic materials including composites and ceramics.
Designed as a direct-mount unitized deburring wheel for die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 3/16-inch arbor mandrel and operating at or below 18,000 RPM.
Installation is performed by a machinist or maintenance technician using a compatible mandrel sized for the 3/16-inch center hole. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 18,000 RPM rating before mounting. Ensure the wheel is fully seated and the mandrel nut is secure before operating. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B7 safety standards for abrasive wheel use.
