The NORTON 66261009185 is a 3-inch non-woven aluminum oxide quick-change disc designed for surface conditioning, blending, and finishing on metal and composite substrates. It uses a Type S Speed-Lok TS attachment system for tool-free disc changes on compatible handheld disc sanders. The aluminum oxide abrasive grain delivers a consistent medium-grade cut, while the high-loft polyester backing provides rigidity without loading. Clean Bond resin technology prevents smearing and keeps the surface clean throughout the cut. This disc is sized at 3 inches in diameter and rated to a maximum of 20,000 RPM.
This disc is suited for surface prep, weld blending, deburring, and light stock removal across a wide range of metallic and non-metallic materials. Rated material applications include 300 and 400 Series Stainless Steel, Brass, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Ductile Iron, Fiberglass and Composites, Gray Iron, Hard and Soft Carbon Steels, Super Alloys, Titanium, and Tool Steels. It is compatible with handheld disc sanders and is commonly used by fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians working in fabrication shops, field service, and industrial maintenance environments.
Designed for use with Speed-Lok TS Type S compatible handheld disc sanders. Suitable for surface conditioning applications on 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Brass, Bronze, Cast Iron, Copper, Ductile Iron, Fiberglass and Composites, Gray Iron, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, Super Alloys, Titanium, and Tool Steels.
Installation is performed by trade fabricators, industrial maintenance technicians, or qualified operators familiar with angle grinder and disc sander safety practices. Before mounting, confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 20,000 RPM disc rating. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace if any tearing or delamination is present. Follow all applicable ANSI B7.1 and tool manufacturer guidelines for abrasive disc mounting and personal protective equipment.
