The NORTON 66261008822 is a 4-inch non-woven quick-change abrasive disc designed for surface conditioning, blending, and finishing on metal substrates. It uses an aluminum oxide abrasive grain coating bonded to a high-loft polyester and nylon web backing for consistent cut and extended service life. The Speed-Lok TR (Type III) attachment system allows rapid disc changes without tools on compatible die grinders and handheld disc sanders. At a coarse grade, this disc is suited for moderate material removal while the Clean Bond resin technology resists smearing and loading. Rated to 15,000 RPM, it handles demanding production and service work. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting trades use discs like this for deburring, weld blending, and surface prep on ferrous and non-ferrous pipe and fittings.
This disc is appropriate for use on a wide range of materials including 300 and 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, cast iron, ductile iron, gray iron, brass, bronze, copper, titanium, super alloys, and fiberglass composites. It is compatible with die grinders and handheld disc sanders that accept Speed-Lok TR or Type R quick-change attachments. Install and remove this disc only while the grinder is powered off and fully stopped. Confirm the tool spindle accepts Speed-Lok TR or Type R attachments before mounting. Do not exceed the 15,000 RPM maximum disc rating. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc that shows tears, delamination, or hub damage.
