The NORTON 66261008049 is a rigid silicon carbide deburring disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal, plastic, and composite surfaces. At 4 inches in diameter and 0.5 inches thick, this disc mounts via a 3/8-inch arbor hole and is rated to a maximum of 8000 RPM. The extra coarse grade and silicon carbide abrasive make it well suited for deburring, edge conditioning, and surface preparation tasks where fast stock removal is the priority. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary users of this disc in shop or field environments.
This deburring disc is used on angle grinders and bench-mounted arbor setups for deburring cut edges, cleaning weld seams, and removing flash from machined parts. Its rigid construction holds shape under pressure, making it effective on flat and slightly contoured workpiece surfaces. Typical applications include ferrous and non-ferrous metal fabrication, tool and die work, and general industrial maintenance. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 25 units.
Designed for use with angle grinders and arbor-mount grinder setups accepting a 3/8-inch center hole and accommodating a 4-inch disc diameter. Verify spindle RPM rating meets or exceeds the tool maximum before mounting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel mounting. Always power down and unplug the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed 8000 RPM and inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use. Wear appropriate eye, face, and hand protection during operation.
