The NORTON 66261007988 is a rigid silicon carbide deburring disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal and other hard surfaces. Measuring 6 inches in diameter with a 1/4-inch center arbor hole, this disc operates at up to 8000 RPM and delivers an extra coarse cut for fast deburring, edge blending, and surface prep work. At 1/2 inch thick with a density rating of 7, the disc maintains its shape under load. It is sold individually and is a common consumable for metal fabrication shops, pipefitters, and general industrial maintenance techs.
This deburring disc suits applications where fast, aggressive stock removal is needed on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as masonry and composite materials. The silicon carbide abrasive is well suited for hard, brittle surfaces. The rigid construction keeps the cutting face flat during use, making it appropriate for flat-surface deburring and cleanup after cutting or grinding operations. Typical install environments include pipe fabrication, structural steel work, and general maintenance shops requiring quick edge cleanup.
Designed for use with angle grinders and disc grinding tools that accept a 6-inch diameter disc with a 1/4-inch arbor hole mounting configuration.
Installation is performed by qualified trades or maintenance personnel familiar with abrasive tooling. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 8000 RPM maximum disc rating before operation. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage prior to each use and discard any disc that shows visible defects.
