The NORTON 662610-58510 is a Bear-Tex non-woven convolute wheel engineered for clean finish surface conditioning applications. Measuring 6 inches in diameter, 2 inches in width, and with a 1-inch arbor hole, this wheel uses a silicon carbide (SC) abrasive at medium grit to deliver consistent, controlled cutting action without loading or glazing. The convolute construction layers non-woven abrasive material around the core, producing a uniform density that maintains a consistent scratch pattern throughout the life of the wheel. It is suited for deburring, surface blending, and finish work on metal and other hard materials. Installation and use is typical for fabrication shops, maintenance operations, and finishing lines.
This convolute wheel is used in surface conditioning tasks where a controlled, repeatable finish is required. The medium grit silicon carbide abrasive makes it appropriate for general deburring, light stock removal, and finish blending on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as harder plastics and composites. It fits standard bench grinder and pedestal machine arbors sized for a 1-inch bore. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 2 units per transaction.
Designed for use on standard bench grinders and pedestal finishing machines with a 1-inch arbor. Suitable for surface conditioning of ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and hard plastics where a medium grit non-woven abrasive is appropriate.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator following machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable ANSI abrasive wheel safety standards. Always power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the rated maximum for the wheel. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves during installation and operation.
