The NORTON 66260195230 is a single-point diamond dresser designed to true and dress abrasive grinding wheels in precision grinding applications. The tool features a natural or synthetic diamond tip mounted on a 0.25-inch diameter shank with a 1-inch shank length, providing a compact and rigid platform for accurate wheel profiling. With a 75-degree included angle at the point, this dresser delivers controlled material removal from the wheel face. It is a non-resettable tool, meaning the diamond is permanently fixed and the unit is replaced rather than rebuilt when worn. Grinding machine operators and tool room technicians rely on this type of dresser to maintain wheel geometry and surface finish consistency.
This diamond dresser is suited for use on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and tool and cutter grinders in both production and tool room environments. It fits standard dresser holders that accept a 0.25-inch shank. The 1-inch shank length accommodates typical holder depths found on conventional and CNC grinding machines. It is appropriate for dressing aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, and vitrified bond wheels in light to medium stock removal applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement single-point diamond dresser for use in standard 0.25-inch shank dresser holders on conventional and CNC grinding machines.
Diamond dressers are installed and serviced by machining and grinding machine technicians. Before mounting or removing the dresser, power down the grinder and confirm the spindle has come to a full stop. Secure the shank firmly in the dresser holder to the depth recommended by the machine manufacturer to prevent deflection during dressing passes. Do not exceed the maximum depth-of-dress or traverse rate specified for the grinding wheel being dressed, as excessive force can fracture the diamond tip.
