The NORTON 66254487415 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) abrasive disc designed for sanding and surface preparation applications. Built on a B-weight paper backing, this disc uses silicon carbide abrasive grain at 80 grit for consistent medium-grade stock removal. The flexible paper construction conforms to contoured surfaces, making it effective on wood, composites, and light metals. Each pack contains 100 discs. This product is part of the NORTON A413 series and is installed by finishing technicians, woodworkers, auto body professionals, and trade contractors performing prep work.
This PSA disc is suited for both flat and mildly contoured surface sanding in production and maintenance environments. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows for quick mounting and dismounting on compatible PSA backup pads without additional fasteners. No vacuum holes are present, so this disc is intended for use on solid, non-perforated backup pads. Common applications include paint removal, surface leveling, and finishing passes on wood panels, drywall patches, and composite materials.
Designed for use with standard 5-inch PSA backup pads. No vacuum-hole pattern means this disc is not compatible with dust-collection-style perforated backup pads. Confirm pad diameter and adhesive-mount style before installing.
Mount to a compatible 5-inch PSA backup pad by pressing the adhesive face firmly against the pad surface, starting from the center outward. Ensure the sander is powered off and unplugged before changing discs. Discard any disc showing visible tears, edge separation, or loaded abrasive, as damaged discs can separate from the pad at speed. Follow applicable shop safety guidelines, including eye protection and dust control measures appropriate to the material being sanded.
