The NORTON 66253364337 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for precision stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, it delivers consistent cutting action and open grain exposure throughout the wheel life. At 14 inches in diameter, 1-1/2 inches thick, and with a 5-inch arbor hole, this coarse-grade wheel runs at a maximum of 1800 RPM. The 46-grit, J-hardness (medium) specification makes it well suited for aggressive material removal where surface finish tolerances are moderate. This wheel is designed for use on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines. Material applications include 400 Series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. The porous, vitrified structure promotes chip clearance and coolant flow, making it effective for both wet and dry grinding operations in production environments. The Series 32A specification identifies the aluminum oxide grain type and bond formulation used in this wheel family.
