The NORTON 66253363960 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for aggressive stock removal on ferrous metals and difficult-to-grind alloys. The ceramic abrasive grain is semi-friable, meaning it fractures under load to expose fresh cutting edges and maintain a consistent cut rate throughout the wheel life. Grinding wheel mounting and dressing should be performed by a qualified machine operator or toolroom technician following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 guarding requirements. Verify the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 1800 RPM maximum marked on the wheel before mounting. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using a ring test before installation, and never exceed the rated speed under any circumstance. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels, and always use properly rated flanges and a blotter on each side of the wheel.
