A 46-grit, J-hardness (coarse grade) specification makes it well-suited for aggressive stock removal where a finer finish is a secondary concern. Licensed grinding professionals and tool room machinists are the primary installers and operators.
This wheel is rated for use on surface grinders and cylindrical grinders in shop, tool room, and production environments. It is designed to work across a broad range of materials including 400 Series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Never exceed the maximum RPM stamped on the wheel blotter.
