Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, it delivers consistent cut rate and durability across a range of ferrous metal applications. The wheel measures 12 inches in diameter by 1-1/2 inches thick with a 1-1/2 inch hole diameter and is rated to a maximum of 2,070 RPM. At 14.25 pounds, the wheel is sized for heavy-duty stationary equipment. A dual-grit specification of 60/80 medium grade makes it suitable for both stock removal and finishing passes in a single wheel.
This grinding wheel is intended for use on bench grinders and pedestal grinders in shop, industrial, and maintenance environments. It is commonly installed in machine shops, maintenance and repair operations, and fabrication facilities where technicians and machinists need a reliable abrasive for dressing cutting tools, sharpening drill bits, and deburring steel and iron workpieces. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the grinder fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Always ring-test the wheel before mounting to check for cracks, and never exceed the 2,070 RPM rating marked on the wheel. Use the included bushing to achieve a proper arbor fit, and ensure the flanges and blotter washers are correctly seated before tightening. Allow the wheel to run at operating speed for at least one minute behind a guard before placing it in service.
