Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding technician following the wheel manufacturer's and machine builder's mounting procedures. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using a ring test and confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 2070 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before removing the existing wheel and seating the new one. Use proper reducing bushings if required to achieve a snug, non-forced fit on the arbor, and always install blotter washers between the wheel and flanges as required by ANSI B7.1 safety standards.
