Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 1910.215 standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and perform a ring test per manufacturer guidance. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels, and verify the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 2070 RPM maximum marked on the wheel. Use proper flanges, blotters, and a correctly sized arbor bushing if required to maintain concentricity and safe clamping.
