The NORTON 66253262513 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for aggressive stock removal on hard and difficult-to-grind materials. Constructed with a ceramic abrasive grain and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cut rates and long service life across demanding production and toolroom applications. It measures 12 inches in diameter, 1 inch thick, with a 5-inch arbor hole, and carries a 60-grit, K-hardness (medium grade) specification. The semi-friable ceramic grain self-sharpens under load, reducing heat buildup at the workpiece. Mounting and dressing of grinding wheels must be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 1910.215 standards. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using the ring test before mounting; never install a damaged wheel. Ensure the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 2070 RPM rating marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels, and true the wheel with an appropriate diamond dresser before the first cut on a new mount.
