Grinding wheel installation must be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 safe guarding requirements. Before mounting, ring-test the wheel for cracks and verify the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 2070 RPM maximum stamped on the wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels, and use proper flanges and blotters as specified by the wheel manufacturer. Never exceed the rated RPM and always dress the wheel before the first cut on a new mount.
