Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, it delivers consistent stock removal on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The wheel measures 14 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches thick with a 5-inch arbor hole, a one-side recess depth of 0.5 inches, and a recess diameter of 8 inches. Rated at a maximum of 2,320 RPM, it carries a coarse 46 grit and I hardness code, placing it in the medium hardness range. Machinists, tool and die shops, and industrial grinding operations are the primary installers and users of this wheel.
This grinding wheel is suited for heavy stock removal and surface finishing operations on a broad range of materials. Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by qualified personnel familiar with ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Always power down and lock out the grinder before installing or changing wheels. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting — never mount a damaged wheel. Do not exceed the maximum operating speed of 2,320 RPM stamped on the wheel.
