Mounting and dressing of grinding wheels should be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 guidelines. Before mounting, ring-test the wheel for cracks and verify that the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 2485 RPM maximum marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels. Never exceed the rated maximum RPM, and always use the correct blotters and flanges supplied or approved by the machine manufacturer.
