Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by qualified personnel following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Before mounting, confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the wheel's maximum rated RPM of 2,485. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels, inspect the wheel for cracks using a ring test, and use proper flanges and blotters when securing to the spindle. Never force a wheel onto a spindle or alter the arbor hole diameter.
