The NORTON 66253117877 is a Type 1 (flat) aluminum oxide cutoff wheel designed for cutting steel on stationary abrasive cutting machines. It measures 9 inches in diameter with a 0.063 inch thickness and a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. The resinoid bond holds the aluminum oxide grain securely during aggressive cuts, and the wheel is rated for a maximum of 4,025 RPM. At 0.308 pounds, it is well suited for high-volume production cutting or heavy shop use where consistent, straight cuts through medium steels are required. This wheel meets ML-309 specifications and is appropriate for steels in the Rockwell hardness range of approximately Rc 30 to 50.
This cutoff wheel is intended for use on stationary cutting equipment such as abrasive chop saws and cutoff machines found in metal fabrication shops, pipe fitting operations, and industrial maintenance environments.
