The NORTON 66253043729 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision flat grinding on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Measuring 8 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, this wheel is built around an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded with a vitrified bond system. It carries a 60 grit, medium grade, K hardness rating — a specification that suits general-purpose stock removal on a wide range of steels, cast irons, and aluminum. Rated to a maximum of 3600 RPM, this wheel is appropriate for use by machinists and tool grinders working on surface or cylindrical grinding equipment.
This wheel is suited for surface grinding operations in machine shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing environments handling both production and maintenance work.
