Wheel mounting and dressing should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding equipment operator. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks using the ring test per ANSI B7.1 standards, and ensure the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3600 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels. Always use properly sized, clean flanges and blotters; never overtighten the arbor nut.
