Built around an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded with a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cutting action and open pore structure that resists loading during aggressive grinding passes. Grinding wheel mounting must be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding machine operator following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 guarding requirements. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks using a ring test — do not mount a wheel that produces a dull or flat tone. Power down and lock out the machine before changing wheels, confirm the arbor hole fits the spindle without forcing, and always use proper flanges and a blotter between the flange and wheel face. After mounting, run the wheel at operating speed with the guard in place for at least one minute before bringing it into contact with the workpiece.
