This wheel is suited for surface grinding and cylindrical grinding applications on 400 series stainless steel, hard carbon steels, tool steels, titanium, super alloys, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. Compatible equipment includes surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines. The porous, semi-friable ceramic grain structure supports cool cutting on thermally sensitive alloys and hard ferrous materials where heat buildup and glazing are common failure points.

Grinding wheel mounting must be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using the ring test before mounting, and ensure the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3,600 RPM rated maximum. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels. Never exceed the rated speed or use damaged blotters, flanges, or arbor hardware.
