The NORTON 66253019361 is a Type 5 surface grinding wheel engineered for demanding material removal on hard ferrous metals and exotic alloys. Built on a vitrified bond with a ceramic abrasive grain, this wheel operates in the 3SG series, delivering consistent cutting action across wet and dry applications. At 8 inches in diameter, 1 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole and a one-side recess measuring 3-1/4 inches in diameter by 1/2 inch deep, it mounts directly to surface grinders and cylindrical grinders. The 46-grit, G-hardness (coarse, soft-rated) specification makes it well suited for aggressive stock removal while the semi-friable ceramic grain self-sharpens under load. Rated to 3600 RPM maximum, the wheel weighs 3.2 pounds.
