Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, this wheel operates at a maximum of 3600 RPM and carries a coarse 46-grit rating with an H hardness code. The 8-inch diameter and 1/2-inch thickness suit standard surface and cylindrical grinder spindle configurations. At 1.8 pounds, the wheel is compatible with wet grinding operations and is color-coded ruby, consistent with the 48A series designation. Licensed grinding machine operators and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers.
This wheel is suited for wet surface grinding operations on hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and tool steels.
