The NORTON 66252941313 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in industrial and machine shop environments. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cutting action and long service life on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines. It measures 7 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, and is rated for a maximum of 3600 RPM. The 60-grit, G-hardness (medium grade) specification makes it well suited for moderate material removal without excessive surface damage.
This wheel is used in professional machining environments where controlled grinding of hard and soft metals is required. The aluminum oxide construction performs on 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. It fits surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines in both production and maintenance settings. Licensed machinists and tool grinders are the typical installers and operators of this wheel.
Designed for use with surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines. Suitable for grinding 400 series stainless steel, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. Part of the NORTON 32A Type 1 series with specification code 32A60-GVBEP.
Wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by a qualified machinist following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 standards for abrasive wheel machinery. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using a ring test before mounting, and never exceed the rated maximum RPM of 3600. Power down and lock out the grinding machine before installing or removing the wheel. Use the correct flanges and blotters for a 1-1/4 inch arbor mount and ensure the wheel guard is in place before operation.
