The NORTON 66252941204 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for aggressive material removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, it delivers consistent cut rate and form retention across extended grinding cycles. The wheel measures 7 inches in diameter, 1/2 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. At a 46 grit coarse grade with a G hardness code, it is suited for stock removal applications where surface finish is secondary to throughput. Rated at a maximum of 3,600 RPM, it meets standard speed requirements for most surface and cylindrical grinding equipment.
This wheel is intended for use on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines in both production shop and toolroom environments. It is well matched to applications involving 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. The coarse grit and soft hardness rating allow the wheel to cut freely on harder materials without loading or glazing.
