The NORTON 66252939672 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for precision stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cut rates and controlled surface finishes across a range of industrial applications. It measures 7 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch thick, and carries a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. Rated at a maximum of 3600 RPM, the 100-grit, J-hardness (Fine grade) construction suits finish-pass and semi-finish work where surface quality matters. The gray, non-porous-free, porous wheel structure is identified by the specification code 32A100-JVBE.
This wheel is suited for use on surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines in both shop and production environments. Typical material applications include 400 series stainless steel, hard and soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron. It fits residential machine shops, industrial toolrooms, and maintenance operations where a reliable general-purpose grinding wheel is needed for routine or high-volume surface grinding tasks.
Compatible with surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and CNC cutting tool machines accepting a 7-inch diameter, 1-1/4 inch arbor hole Type 1 wheel. Suitable for grinding 400 series stainless steel, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, tool steels, aluminum, cast iron, ductile iron, and gray iron.
Grinding wheel mounting and dressing must be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B11.9 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 safety standards. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before mounting and perform a ring test. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels. Never exceed the 3600 RPM maximum speed rating stamped on the wheel or listed on its blotter.
