Grinding wheel mounting must be performed by a qualified operator following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always ring-test the wheel before mounting and inspect for cracks or damage. Power down and lockout the grinder before changing wheels, and never exceed the maximum RPM marked on the wheel. A flanged arbor with properly sized blotters should be used to distribute clamping load evenly across the wheel face.
