The NORTON 66252922677 is a Type 1 resinoid-bonded aluminum oxide cut-off wheel designed for ferrous metal cutting applications. At 7 inches in diameter and 1/16 inch thick, it delivers fast, clean cuts on steel and stainless steel when used with compatible stationary cutting tools. The wheel is rated to a maximum of 6550 RPM and uses a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole for secure tool mounting. With a 46 grit and hardness code M, this wheel balances aggressive stock removal with controlled cutting action. It is a non-reinforced Type 1 (01/41) flat wheel suited for straight, plunge, and parting cuts on metal workpieces.
This cut-off wheel is intended for use with stationary abrasive cutting tools in metal fabrication, pipe cutting, and general steel or stainless steel parting applications. Its 46 grit aluminum oxide grain structure makes it appropriate for production cutting of mild steel and stainless steel bar, rod, pipe, and structural stock. It is commonly used in fabrication shops, mechanical contractor environments, and industrial maintenance settings where stationary chop saws or cut-off machines are the primary cutting equipment.
Designed for use with stationary cutting tools on steel and stainless steel workpieces. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 6550 RPM maximum wheel rating and that the arbor accepts a 1-1/4 inch hole before mounting.
Installation and wheel changes must be performed by a qualified operator following the tool manufacturer's guard and flange requirements. Always power down and de-energize the machine before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never operate above the marked maximum RPM. Follow ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel handling, mounting, and operation.
